General Information
All Inclusive Prices - All accommodations, special dinners, land transportation, sightseeing, luggage handling and the services of a guide are included in the tour price as specified herein.
Accommodations - All accommodations are included. One bedded rooms with private bath are reserved in most hotels. Two bedded rooms, quads and triples are available upon request in some of them. Connecting and adjacent rooms are by request only and are not guaranteed. For safety and security of your family, children under 18 years of age must stay in the same room as an accompanying adult.
Meals - Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B Breakfast, L Lunch, D Dinner, S Snack. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary requests that are communicated in advance.
Gratuities Included - All standard gratuities for doormen, dining room servers and housekeepers are included.
Not Included
Standard gratuities for luggage handling, bellmen, local guides, drivers and guides are not included.
Airfare, departure taxes (and airport transfers to the North American tour departure point and from the tour ending point) are not included.
Hotel Rooms Before and After Tours - Baja Outback will make reservations before and after your tour at most of our first and last night hotels. Extra nights will be reserved upon request. Reservations are on a space available basis and must be arranged through Baja Outback. The extra expense for these arrangements will be added to your tour cost.
Personal Expenses - Phone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mineral waters, soft drinks, laundry, airline excess baggage charges and other optional incidental extras are not included and may become significant.
Baggage Responsibility - Although every effort is made to handle guest’s luggage carefully, we cannot assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage nor personal effects due to breakage, theft, or normal wear and tear through hotel, airline or group carrier handling. If reimbursement is important to you it is very important that you have adequate insurance.
Remarks:
• A professional guide drives the lead H2; all other H2 are driven by participants
• All vehicles must remain with the group
• These are a highly adventurous expeditions
• Appropriate attire includes comfortable walking shoes and clothing and bathing suit
• Bring your camera for exquisite views
• Don’t forget your sunglasses and suncare products
• There will be four to five participants per vehicle
• We recommend a sports bra for women on some of the routes
• Some of the routes include tough terrain and high cliffs with the safety and comfort of an H2
Before You Go
Airline Security Measures - All adult air travelers must provide identification in the form of a passport at the time of airport check-in. Your identification name must match your tour reservation and your airline ticket or you may be denied boarding.
Code of Conduct - Baja Outback accepts all persons on its tours. Baja Outback reserves the right to terminate the tour of any persons who are abusive of others or whose behavior disrupts the operation of a tour.
Travelers Needing Special Assistance - Baja Outback regrets that it cannot provide individual assistance to guests for walking, dining, or other personal needs. Persons needing such assistance must be accompanied by an able companion who will assist them.
Safety and Welfare Responsibility of Children - Please be informed that any minor traveling on a Baja Outback tour is the sole responsibility of the parent and/or guardian. The accompanying adult must ensure that all rules of safety and conduct are followed by the children in their party.
Photography on Tour - Baja Outback reserves the right to take photographs on tour and use them for promotional purposes. By booking a Baja Outback tour, travelers agree to allow their image to appear in such photographs. Tour participants who prefer that their image not be used are asked to notify the Baja Outback sage at the beginning of the tour.
Itinerary Changes and Flexibility - Baja Outback will make every effort to operate our tours as advertised. Travelers should be flexible as situations may arise, either voluntarily or involuntarily, that necessitate changes to the itinerary. On these occasions Baja Outback reserves the right to alter the itinerary or change properties as deemed necessary. Any net savings realized by such changes will be refunded to affected passengers and any additional costs over the original cost of the tour will be borne by Baja Outback.
Liability:
Due to the fact that this is a participant driven activity our cars are subject to the same policies as a rental car company. You will be signing a contract that shows the condition of the vehicle at the time we start the tour. Once tour is back we will secure vehicle returns in the same condition it was in when we started the tour.
We will request a credit card to guarantee a $5,000.00 USD deductible in case of damage to the vehicle.
Limitation of Liability - Baja Outback is a division of Grupos Incentivos Terramar, S.A. de C.V. based in San Jose del Cabo, B.C.S. Mexico. GIT purchases hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to its control. GIT CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOR DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY OTHER LOSS that may occur due to any act or omission of any such supplier and/or by reason of any other event over which it has no control. Payment of tour cost constitutes your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set forth herein and in more specific passenger tour documentation.
If You Have to Cancel
Cancellation and Transfer Fees - Regardless of the reason, cancellations and transfers from one tour to another result in costly charges from our suppliers. Therefore the following fees apply. In fairness to others, we cannot make exceptions. These fees apply whether or not a person transfers to another tour departure. Time of cancellation will be when notice is received in our office.
• We request a 50% deposit requested at the time of booking.
• We require payment in full 30 days in advance.
• If the event is canceled more than 60 days in advance to the tour, a 10% cancellation fee will be charged.
• If the event or vehicles are canceled more than 30 days in advance to the tour a 25% cancellation fee will be charged.
• If the event or vehicles are canceled 15- 29 days prior to tour a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
• If the event or vehicles are canceled 14 days or less prior to the tour a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
Claims and Refunds - Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed tour services. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing 30 days of termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting documentation. Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual costs of the services involved. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals. Baja Outback will not accept liability for any claims received after 30 days of the termination of your tour.
